GCS Credit Union is carefully monitoring the developing information related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our management team actively communicates regarding the most current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and local authorities to make business adjustments as needed.

As we work to prepare to eventually open our lobbies and begin the journey to getting back to normal, we want to thank you, our faithful members. We have always said GCS members are the best and you have proven this day in and day out during these past couple of months. In addition, we would like to thank our employees for doing what it takes to maintain service to our members. They have done a great job making adjustments where needed to ensure we navigate through these times successfully.
Reopening our lobbies is something we all want to happen as soon as possible. We are currently preparing our branches to ensure as safe and healthy of an environment as we possibly can. At this time, we are planning to begin a phased in process beginning in June. While we are not sure of the exact date at this time, it will be in a timely fashion while we adhere to proper social distancing and other health recommendations.
As you should expect, the lobbies will look different when we do open back up. Some differences you will see include:
- Floor markers placed six feet apart
- Limiting the number of members in the lobby at once
- Asking for ID with all transactions
- Providing masks to all GCS staff members
- Installing glass coverings at teller lines and in offices
GCS Credit Union, along with other local credit unions, has been carefully monitoring the developing information related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). It is important to us to provide a safe and healthy environment for everyone while providing the financial services that you need. At this time, we will temporarily be suspending lobby access at all GCS branch locations. These changes will go into effect Thursday, March 19, 2020. Drive-thru service will still be available during normal business hours at all GCS branches. We plan to monitor the situation and resume full branch access as soon as public health conditions are safe.

To help control the spread, we recommend that you take advantage of our available online tools for self-service banking and 24 hour account access through our mobile, online, text and phone banking services. Through these channels, you can check balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, or find the nearest ATM.
GCS Employee Wellbeing
GCS has asked all employees to cooperate in taking steps to reduce the transmission of communicable diseases in the workplace. These steps include staying home when sick, washing hands often, wearing a mask, and cleaning frequently touched surfaces.
GCS Member Wellbeing
GCS will provide hand sanitizing stations in the lobby of each branch location. Please stay safe, wash hands frequently, and stay home if you are not feeling well.
While it is impossible for anyone to predict the spread of the virus and its impact, GCS will remain dedicated to our commitment of providing financial services to our members.
